Pros over Wode.
Supports all homebrew apps.
Supports loading of channel wad apps.
Supports all known USB and Disc Loaders.
Supports emulators like SNES and others.
USB Interface very sexy with covers and different views.
Wii does not need to be opened and works on all models.
Cheaper.
Cons over Wode.
Performing a system update will usualy wipe out the mod, its is usualy easy solved by reinstalling it, the softmod also now comes with a preloader software that prevents you from acidently updating from either disc or internet, softmodding has been around since system update 3.2 and now current is 4.3 and softmodding is still ok.
No game on the market requires a system update beyond 3.4 anyhow its been that way for almost 2 years now so really theres no need to even do system updates.
No backup Gamecube support on models LAH1063 and higher only original discs.
When gamecube support is availble for older models gamecube games must be run from disc no USB support for gamecube.
Here is a video of USB Loader GX and Wode Jukebox side by side to compare.
